Interaction & Discovery 2006

   The main objective of "INTERACTION & DISCOVERY" project is to develop an interactive educational programme focused on children's rights and Romanian culture, in a natural environment.

   The project "INTERACTION & DISCOVERY" targets 13 Romanian children, aged between 10-14 years old and it is implemented between 1 April-30 November 2006. The educational programme has an international dimension as well as a national dimension.

   The international dimension is reflected in the fact that the children's rights are provided in United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and other important international legal instruments. The basic needs of children, the right to education and the right to participation are at the centre of the educational programme.

   The national dimension concentrates on understanding the Romanian Culture, by a combination of practical workshops: painting on glass; song and dance workshop and Romanian culinary art.

The link between the international and national perspectives is desired to create the context of raising the children as world citizens with a broad scope of inspiration and more opportunities for a rich cultural and social life.

The educational programme took place at Palamari's Cultural Center, in the period 17-23 July 2006. An open information eveninghas been organized in the Netherlands, for presenting the outcomes of the Romanian – Dutch cooperation in the framework of "INTERACTION & DISCOVERY". read more
